Michael J Gorecki receives the acclaimed Navy League Mackie Award for best newsletters of a medium sized council for 2006 on behalf of Twin Cities Council. The newsletters were designed and laid out by Mike Gorecki, a partner of ASA Partners, a Member of Twin City Council Of The Navy League Of The United States, a US Naval Sea Cadet Officer and former United States Marine. “It was a pleasure working with the Council President on the newsletters”. “We laid out a plan and set our goals and with a little hard work we put out some quality newsletters to keep our members informed” stated Gorecki.

The Donald M. Mackie Award was established in 1964 for the best Navy League newsletter to encourage more effective communications between Navy Leaguers. The award is named for Donald M. Mackie, who was instrumental in establishing Seapower magazine, then called "Navy - The Magazine of Sea Power."
